Right on. One additional point comes to mind: Our national problem right now seems to be a lack of jobs. Large and relatively immediate cuts in the Army and Marines would exacerbate that problem. We might be wise to keep a high number of troops for the foreseeable future. That future no doubt will include border security, one good use of manpower no matter what the international security picture may become. OK on cutting down on large armor expenditures, but not on precipitious manpower cuts.
