Wrong Path

Re:  Republicans holding a retreat -- "retreat" is probably the right word about now, but it appears to be more an exercise in camouflage, with such terms as "branding" being bandied about.  It's both emblematic and symptomatic of our political system today that our parties seek more to disguise their unpopular and unworkable policies to make them seem more appealing, rather than altering the policies themselves, or questioning the assumptions that underlie them.
