I couldn't agree more. So as not to limit any of our precious freedoms, we've tended to dispense with all restrictions (and common sense). Let everyone buy everything (it's their right!), even if that means letting less-than-responsible people buy guns, lasers, drones, eavesdropping equipment, body armor, etc. Drones are my current pet peeve. No private citizen needs a drone. Sure they're fun, they let you shoot aerial photography, etc. But they aren't necessary and they can be dangerous to the lives, property, and privacy of others, to aircraft, to wildlife, to peace and quiet. In other words, they infringe on the rights of others to be free of them. Personally I"d have banned their sale to private citizens a year or two ago. But then, that would have infringed on somebody's "right" to have one.
